Objective
To uphold high standards of research quality, credibility, and relevance, Neftaly requires researchers to peer review 3 case studies each from fellow researchers. This process encourages constructive feedback, collaborative learning, and continuous improvement within the Neftaly research community.
Neftaly Purpose of Peer Review
- Ensure accuracy, validity, and rigor in research methodologies and findings.
- Provide objective critique to enhance clarity, depth, and policy relevance.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or ethical concerns prior to publication.
- Foster knowledge sharing and strengthen internal research networks.
Neftaly Peer Review Process
- Neftaly Assignment
- Each researcher receives 3 case studies from colleagues, ideally outside their immediate project team to ensure unbiased evaluation.
- Neftaly Review Criteria
Reviewers should assess:- Relevance: Alignment with Neftaly’s research themes and stakeholder needs.
- Methodology: Appropriateness, transparency, and rigor of research methods.
- Data Quality: Accuracy, completeness, and ethical data handling.
- Analysis & Findings: Logical coherence, depth of insight, and evidence support.
- Presentation: Clarity of writing, structure, and visual aids (charts, tables).
- Compliance: Adherence to ethical guidelines and submission standards.

- Provide detailed, constructive comments using the Neftaly Peer Review Feedback Form.
- Highlight strengths as well as areas needing improvement.
- Suggest actionable recommendations for revisions.

- Discuss feedback with original authors if clarification is needed.
- Support revisions to improve study quality before final submission or publication.
